Deme Oraon is calling from Rourkela in Odisha and says Rourkela Steel plant has begun to build a compound wall with Police help in Barkani village nearby. Adivasi villagers have been opposing it and have done protests but suddenly company has started work today with police support.Govt is not only violating law but destroying livelihood of Adivasis, he alleges. Adivasis worked for Govt for Rs 1 lakh 5 months ago but no payments yet...
Puri Vasanta Rao is calling from Koytur village of Chintur Mandal, East Godavari district in AP and says in his Gondi language that they’ve worked for Govt in road construction 5 months ago. Payment of around Rs 1 lakhs has not been made till now. This year they are going through difficult times as there was no rains at the time of sowing seeds. Schools successfully teaching Gunjala Gondi script in Adilabad, Telangana...
Todasam Devrao is calling from Gunjala village of Narnur Mandal, Adilabad district in Telangana and saying in Gondi that a review session was conducted for the teachers of 15 Schools where Gondi is taught. Academic monitoring officer, coordinators and Educational officers have attended to review and guide the teachers. Free health camp for interior adivasi villages in Adilabad district ,Telangana...
Todasam Devrao is calling from Valgonda Hirapur village of Indravelli Mandal, Adilabad district in Telangana and says in Gondi that Natural Research Care Foundation conducted a health camp for the benefit of 30 interior Adivasi villages and tested more than 300 patients. 12 doctors attended and distributed free medicines. These are interior villages where adivasis need to go more than 30 kms to get medical treatment.
