Brijesh Singh from Rewa in MP is reporting live from a demonstration of traditional midwives (Dais) who say that earlier they used to get paid when they helped in delivery or brought pregnant women to hospitals. They were also trained by Govt but now Govt deals only with Asha (Accredited Social Health Activists ) and traditional midwives are not allowed inside hospitals and are facing a problem of livelihood. Brijesh Singh from Rewa in MP is telling about suicide of farmer Damni Singh Patel from village Renga Sandoh in Tyothar tahsil. The farmer had taken a loan of Rs 50,000 to farm in 17 acre of land but his crop was destroyed one night by a group of Nilgais. Govt is saying the suicide was due to family dispute.
