Then they announced a public hearing on the subject. A day before the hearing administration went to Khajuri and made fake entry of 100 days of work in Panditram’s job card, when he did not work for that many days and took away the bank account to deposit the money. Sanjay Sharma is talking from Bisarmani village of Mainpat block of Surguja district in Chhattisgarh where he witnessed that a Panch of the village is collecting NREGA wages from Bank on behalf of the whole village. Sanjay Sharma from Ambikapur in Surguja district of Chhattisgarh is talking about third death anniversary of 36 year old tribal laborer Somar Sai who died on 29th Feb 2008. Before his death Somai Sai worked for 29 days in a road construction work in his village under NREGA. Sanjay Sharma from Ambikapur in Surguja district of Chhattisgarh says when Pitbasu Bhoi who got his NREGA payment a year after (and after the death of his ) went to apply for compensation for late paymnet according to NREGA laws his application was not accepted by authorities. He says before people from the same village Pampapur applied for compensation when they did not get work 15 days after the application as per NREGA law, but that application was also not accepted.
