I request all adivasis to do similar act in their villages and take control of the minerals beneath their lands. I have heard that administration is planning to put a case of illegal mining on the villager of Gare. I protest this. Illegal mining taking place here with help of forest officials, Please investigate...

Villagers say they will form company and will do mining on their own land

Rajesh Tripathi from Raigarh in Chhattisgarh says that villagers in Gare in Tamnar block of the district have passed a unanimous resolutuon that from now on they will do mining on their land. The resolution by 500+ people says they will form a company and will give royalty to government. They say a survey says each hectare in their area have coal worth Rs 80 crore. Adivasis in Jharkhand close mining to protest arrest of their leader

Satendra Oraon from Chatra district of Jharkhand is telling us that adivasis of his area took out a rally today and have stopped the work in the BCL coal mines. He says BCL is cheating the local people and taking away their land and today their main demand is release of their local leader Suresh who was arrested by police who was leading their agitation against the mines.
