Mangal Kunjam is calling from Dantewada district in Chhattisgarh where thousands of villagers and members of All India Trade Union Congress and Communist Party of India are demonstrating against National Mineral Development Corp today. In 50 years the company has employed very few locals and waste is dumped on fields causing great damage to adivasis. A memorandum was submitted to reserve jobs for locals and save environment. Mangalram Kunjam is reporting from Dantewada in Chhattisgarh from a procession towards National Mineral Development Corporation. He says NMDC has been denying jobs to locals and the villages where NMDC is located has not developed. He alleges Corporate Social Responsibility money has also been siphoned off. Now NMDC is giving notice to people and want to remove them.
