Dantewada Collector should evict companies from tribal land first
Reacting to the news of the drive of Collector Dantewada to evict non tribals from tribal lands in Dantewada Himanshu Kumar says that if government really wants to help tribals then they should first evict those companies who have captured tribal lands. He says as advised by Samata judgement Colletor should be acting against the companies under 170 (B)

Drive to remove non tribals from tribal land in Dantewada
Santosh from Dantewada district of Chhattisgarh is telling about a new order from Collector to start a drive to remove illegal occupation of tribal land by non tribals in the district. Collector Mr R Prasanna has given the said order to revenue officials on 4th December under article 170( B) of land revenue act

We will continue our fight to get forest land regularized
Bhan Sahu interviews Bharat Mandavi of Jan Shakti organisation who talks about their fight to get deeds for the forest land under Forest Rights Act on 2005. He says “we have been fighting for years to get our lands regularized where we have been farming from years and we will continue this fight against this historic injustice till our death.We will not leave our land at any cost”.

Tribals beaten by forest officers for asking for land rights, no action after FIR
Smita from Panchmahal district of Gujarat reports that on 9th July when tribals demanded rights against Forest Rights Act they were beaten up by officers of forest department even after showing documents to prove ownership of land. After intervention from Deoghar based women’s organisation an FIR was filed on 28th July but still no action has been taken against the forest department officers. Now the tribals are planning an agitation on 9th September demanding punishment of the forest officers and land rights to them

Tribals not given rights for land under Forest Rights Act
Bhan Sahu from Rajnandgaon reports that 15,190 tribal people from 104 villages in Mohla, Chowki and Manpur blocks have been campaigning under the leadership of Jan Shakti organisation from last few years but have not got any rights for their land. Many people were fined for using that forest land before Forest Rights Act came into existence
