People damage vehicles of company seeking land for coal mines
Rajesh Tripathi from Raigarh in Chhattisgarh says today men and women of Dharmajaygarh has damaged 4 vehicles of Dainik Bhaskar group who wants to acquire land for coal mines for their power plant in the area. The administation has booked 150 people for the incident. He says this shows the anger of the local people and the determination that they do not want to give their land in the upcoming public hearing on 28th February. He appeals journalists and social activists from all over country to be witness to the hearing

Upcoming power plant wants to take over village common land
Bhan Sahu is reporting from a village in Rajnandgaon where work for a power plant is going on. The company has taken 300 acre of land but they now also want to take over a 20 acre common land of the village. Villagers use that land to make stone chips. Many families run their livelihood on that income. Company and state government is regularly harassing villagers and at the construction work also only few villagers have got any job

Illegal mining on forest land for Pradhanmantri Gram Sadak Yojna

Land deed under Forest Rights Act not respected by officials
Rajim from Chhattisgarh says tribals have got land in Forest Rights Act but the deeds given under the act are not respected by officials. When a person applies for land leveling work under NREGA that deed is not respected. Tribals are not getting seed or fertilizer against that deed. Govt taking away land by force for upcoming power plant
