दिलीप बहरा, ग्राम-नरसिंहनाथ,जिला-बरगढ़, उड़ीसा से बता रहे हैं कि आज गंधमार्दन संघर्ष दिवस मनाया जा रहा है. इस पर्वत को 21 वर्षो से यहाँ रहने वाले आदिवासी अपने संघर्ष के माध्यम से खनन से बचाए हुए हैं. इसी सन्दर्भ में गंगाधर साहू जी ओडिया भाषा में एक गीत गा रहे हैं. गीत के माध्यम से गंधमार्दन पर्वत के दायरे में रह रहे आदिवासियों की कर्मठता और सरकार के उद्देश्यों को बताते हुए बोक्साइट खनन पर रोक लगाने की अपील भी की गयी है:
सुनन्तु आ हे भारत सरकार
खाईं बाकू मिलि नहीं यार
हिंदी बाकू मिली नाहीं जेको ना
बोक्साइट पाई केचे भागोने कुछ गंधमार्दन
बड़ा-बड़ा लोग के पाई बेधो ना हे सरकार !
तुम्हार गरीब और दुखी मारा न, हे सरकार !
गंधमार्दन मरली, वन, पर्वत तलेछ हे ते जन
आदिवासी-हरिजन सकलु

राती करणी खाऊं सूखे दिन न उ सरकार !
हे सरकार ! काहु बुझिवो दुखवा मोरे हे सरकार !
दिना-राती गढ़ नुआ एना
आईं न कुनी जे कड़ा मन्ना
सब मिली करू अच्छा प्रचार
घरे -घरे जंगल सृष्टी करा जे लठी कादर
नासु अच्छा बना सुखु चीज हरना सरकार !

धर्म-अर्थ-काम-मोक्ष एतना
टाकू बिकी खाओली कभी बना
अर्थ चामो तानी सारे पागल
गंध गिरी नाशे बल को
सूरजे गरीबा चाथ्ठुरु मिरा
ए जागा ना सिले धर्म न सहिबो सरकार !
