Police says villagers need to take permission for meetings!

Litu Minj from Sundargarh district of Orissa is talking to an adivasi lady who is telling him that they organised a village meeting to discuss implementation of Forest Rights Act, NREGA and PESA act. But police tried to stop the meeting saying villagers had not taken police permission for the meeting. The lady asks if police is responsible for the development of the village as they need to take permission from police to discuss the same. Litu requesrts us to call SP at 09438054259 to complain.
