After Swara report NMDC removes pipes damaging oldest plants

Yashwant Ramteke from Dantewada in Chhattisgarh says two days after he reported about damage to Tree furn, the oldest plant on earth by NMDC pipelines, now forest department has ordered NMDC to remove the pipelines with a threat of action against head of NMDC if not done immediately. After the order NMDC has removed their pipeline from the protected area. As you know 15-20 hectare in Dantewada is the only area in central India where Tree Furns are found which are believed to be more than 250 million years old. Yashwant can be reached at 09424278552
