Headman tells Baiga tribals to share land if they want deeds under FRA!

Naresh Bunkar from Jan Van adhikar manch is today visiting village Sitadabri in Pandaria block of Kabirdham district of Chhattisgarh where he meets 35 Baiga families who tell him that they are working on forest land from 2001 and have applied for land rights under Forest rights Act. After their application it has come to the panchayat for clarification but the sarpanch has taken a stand that unless Baiga families share the above land with other villagers they not give their permission which is against the law and authorities should look into to help the Baiga families.
