Watershed project finished, Self help groups yet to get support!

Raju Kumar from Chatra district in Jharkhand is telling us about some Watershed projects in his block. According to the scheme some ponds were to be dug which farmers can use for irrigation, some embankments to be made to stop the water and also some self help groups were to be formed which will help villagers do some small scale business like poultry etc to make them self sufficient. Each self help group was supposed to be given Rs 50,000. The project has finished in March but the groups are yet to get the money.
