Impact: Work on Road connecting Baiga villages restarts after Swara report...

Naresh Bunkar is calling from Kabirdham district of Chhattisgarh. He had reported on 5th April that road connecting Baiga villages under Pradhanmantri Gram Sadak Yojna was not completed for many years. Out of 55 Baiga families only 20 got some land under Forest Rights Act here

Naresh Bunkar is telling us that yday I visited a village Sarsoha of Baiga traibals in Mungeli district in Chhattisgarh near Achanakmar Tiger reserve. Out of 55 only 20 have got 2 or 3 acre of land under Forest Rights Act. Rest have got nothing. There are more than 50 children but no anganvadi or school. They got last work in NREGA a year back. Impact: Forest dept gives back land to Baiga adivasis after report on Swara...

Naresh Bunkar from Kabirdham district of Chhattisgarh is telling us that on 17th April forest department people were cutting residential plots on forest land of village Putputa where Baiga adivasis are living for long. We had reported it on Swara the same day and on 25th some officials came to inspect and ordered that department should take the land on which Baigas are living. We thank Swara. Forest dept making plots on land Baiga adivasis living from 10 years...

Naresh Bunkar from Kabrdham district in Chhattisgarh is telling us about Baiga adivasis in Putputa village in Pandaria block. He says the Baigas are living there from more than 10 years and have also applied for land deeds under Forest Rights Act. Anganwadi for Baiga adivasi children started in 2005, Not completed yet!

Naresh Bunkar from Kabirdham district in Chhattisgarh is telling us that he visited village Bhelki in Pandaria block today and found that the work on Anganwadi center for Baiga adivasi children had stared in 2005.
